NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND CONVENTION

NABM TO HOLD VIRTUAL TRAINING AT NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND CONVENTION

July 16, 2020

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Coming off of its highly successful BLAST LIVE series in June, the National Association of Blind Merchants (NABM) will be conducting its annual training in conjunction with the 2020 Convention of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). The Convention, originally scheduled for Houston, is being held virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Merchants’ meeting is always one of the biggest and best sessions at the convention each year.

We are putting final touches on what promises to be an outstanding agenda. So far, we have confirmed the entire Randolph-Sheppard team from RSA - Corinne Weidenthal, Jesse Hartle, Christine Grassman, and Jim McCarthy. We will also have a representative from the Small Business Administration to present. You will learn how UV lighting can help prevent the spread of the virus. We will talk about reopening guidelines and you will hear about the NABM Emerging Leaders Program.  Terry Smith will do the first ever NABM Virtual Blitz.  And you can count on much more.

We are excited to bring you this exciting event. It’s just another way NABM can bring quality upward mobility training to the Randolph-Sheppard community. We are looking forward to your participation.

The National Association of Blind Merchants is a division of the National Federation of the Blind.  The National Federation of the Blind  knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
