NABM ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF MINI BLAST OVER HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS

With great regrets, the National Association of Blind Merchants is announcing the cancellation of the Mini BLAST Conference scheduled for September 28-30 in Atlantic City. The conference was being held in conjunction with Vistar’s large Northeast Buying Show  which had over 150 exhibitors committed. However, Vistar’s corporate office has made the decision to cancel the show due to health and safety concerns related to new COVID Delta  variant.  Unfortunately, that leaves us no choice except to cancel our conference.  All paid registration fees will be immediately refunded.

Since many of you had those dates marked on your calendar and NABM remains committed to providing quality training, we will be bringing you Mini BLAST The Virtual Edition on those same dates. We will be doing 90 minute presentations starting at 3:00 PM each of those 3 days. There will be more coming about that soon. These sessions will be free.  We hope you can participate.

We continue to get questions about when we expect to hold our next full-blown BLAST.  We are getting excited about BLAST 2022. We are negotiating with hotels now.  At this point, we aren’t saying when or where but expect an announcement in the coming weeks.

We appreciate the support of all of you and look forward to continuing to be an asset to the Randolph-Sheppard community.

Sincerely,
Nicky Gacos, NABM President
